Once again this year, I participated in Inktober, a challenge to draw one ink drawing on every day of October and post them online. This was my fourth time participating, and my third time with a theme. This year's theme for me was Star Trek. These are the 31 character portraits I drew:
See the full gallery on Facebook!
For the first time, you're now able to BUY these drawings! Every one is an original marker drawing on thick 14,8x21cm (DIN A5) paper, and they cost 50€ each (incl. shipping to Germany). Just send me an e-mail and tell me which ones you want! You can pay using PayPal or bank transfer. Don't forget to send your address!
Here's the list (I'm going to cross entries out if I sell any):
1. Worf 2. Uhura 3. Odo 4. Shran 5. Michael Burnham 6. Captain Janeway 7. Will Riker 8. Major Kira 9. Sulu 10. Hugh the Borg 11. Gul Dukat 12. Counselor Troi 13. Saru 14. Captain Sisko 15. 2019, Fuck Yeah! Calendar Illustration
Once again, I was asked to participate in Schlogger's new "Fuck Yeah!" calendar, which every year collects 52 illustrations from many of Germany's most interesting young cartoonists and illustrators.
For my week in mid-December I chose to do something with the two main characters from my upcoming comic for German zombie comics anthology "Die Toten". Here it is:
And here's just the line art:
Check out the cool cover art by Illustrie:
I have a couple of these calendars to sell to you. Send me an e-mail or a message on FB/Insta/Twitter if you want a signed calendar for just 20€ (shipping is free)!

Radio Nukular #84
I made another cover illustration for the popular German nostalgia podcast Radio Nukular. This episode is all about the hip-hop music career of one of their members, Max aka. Rockstah.
Rockstah likes to dress up as The Penguin from Batman, which explains the outfit, and the overall layout is inspired by the album cover for Bob Seger's "Beautiful Loser".

Stranger IT
When I saw last year's IT movie and Stranger Things season 2 in quick succession, I had the idea for this illustration of the Stranger Things kids meeting Pennywise the clown. It took me a while to get around to actually finishing it, though...
Here's just the line art:
And now the big surprise: You can get this pic on a t-shirt right now! It's available in various colors and styles at Supergeek:

Comic-Salon Erlangen 2018
Starting tomorrow, I'm going to be at Internationaler Comic-Salon Erlangen, Germany's biggest comic convention, which should be a lot of fun! You can find me on all 4 days at the JAZAM! table (A 18).
Here are my new books and things that you can get there:
I'm happy to sign all of these at my signing hours, which you can find on the Comic-Salon website.
If you can't make it to Erlangen, you can get most of this stuff (& more) at Kwimbi.de. All books you buy at Kwimbi are signed by me, which looks a little something like this:

JAZAM! Schreckgeschichten
There's a new JAZAM! book! The newest volume of the German indie comics anthology (of which I am an editor) has the topic "Schreckgeschichten" (scary stories) and a cool new square format. It's almost 300 pages long and contains short comics by 45 different artists, including one 2-page story by yours truly and another 6-page story by Said Omar Eshaq for which I did the colors (see a preview here).
This is the book, with a great cover by Manuel Kilger:
Here's the first page from my own comic:
See some more sample pages at MyComics.de
You can order the book right now from the following shops:
The JAZAM! shop | Kwimbi.de (signed by me) | Hummelcomic.de | Amazon.de
You're also gonna be able to get it at all the upcoming comics conventions, including Comic-Salon Erlangen, Comic Invasion Berlin, and Comic Con Germany in Stuttgart.
We also just printed a new edition of our long-out of print vol. 4, "Monsters". That one is only available at our shop so far (+ the aforementioned conventions).

NICHTLUSTIG Background Art
From 2016 until earlier this year, I got to work on the NICHTLUSTIG animated tv show (based on Joscha Sauer's hugely successful cartoon books) and drew most of the backgrounds for two of the six episodes. Now, the show is finally finished and available for everyone to buy (digitally)! Im think it turned out very nicely! Here's the trailer:
NICHTLUSTIG - die Serie from NICHTLUSTIG on Vimeo.
You can buy the whole season for less than 10€ on Vimeo On Demand RIGHT HERE. My work can be found mostly in episodes 3 and 4.
I uploaded a selection of my background drawings on Behance HERE. Here are a few of them, including one that didn't end up getting used (the last one):
Do check out the other ones on Behance!

MONSTERPARTY -- pre-order now!
As I've mentioned before, I'm about to publish a new comic book containing a couple of my recent 24-hour comics, which is now available for pre-order at Kwimbi!
This is the cover and the line art for it:
And these are a few of my favorite pages from the first story, "In Sickness and in Health":
The second story, "Dinner of Death," is already available online at Tapas.
Since the book is going to be in German, so is this description:
"In Gesundheit und Krankheit" (44 Seiten)
Bei einer Hochzeitsfeier in einem Hotel bricht eine seltsame Krankheit aus. Das Brautpaar und seine Gäste hätten nicht gedacht, dass „bis dass der Tod euch scheidet“ so schnell zum Thema würde...
"Dinner of Death" (20 Seiten)
68 Seiten, Softcover, in Farbe, 14,8 x 21 cm
Alle Ausgaben für Kwimbi werden von Hand signiert!

#artvsartist 2018
There's a new (old) meme in town! Everybody on Twitter and Instagram has been posting these lately, and even though I had already made one of these 2-ish years ago, I felt compelled to make a new one, featuring some of my more recent work.

The Chess Match
"The Chess Match," my full 6-page from last year's JAZAM! vol. 12 (topic: "game") is now available in English and for free at Tapas. I wrote the story for this one with my talented girlfriend Katja Klengel.

Endzeit colors
"Endzeit" is a new German horror graphic novel by Olivia Vieweg about two girls stranded between Jena and Weimar during the zombie apocalypse, and I got to do some of the colors for it.
I colored 34 pages in the final half of the 286-page(!) book. Have a look at two of my pages:
You can read some of the book online at Tapas (but none of my pages yet) or buy the book at Amazon.de or your local comics or book shop.

JAZAM! previews
There's a new volume of our indie comics anthology JAZAM! coming out in May, and I'm almost done assembling all the comics and things for it. Here are some early previews.
First, a single panel from my own 2-page comic:
And this is the first page (of 6) of Said Omar Eshaq's comic, which I colored. I always love his character designs & style!

PietSmiet Tour Poster
A couple of months ago, I got to illustrate and design the poster for the upcoming (almost completely sold-out!) live tour of PietSmiet, a popular German YouTube channel about gaming. They wanted it to look like an old-timey circus poster and I had fun making this:
