Over three episodes of our podcast Trek & Gold, Eve Jay & I have recapped and discussed the first season of the new Star Trek show, Starfleet Academy.

Here's the new cover illustration I made for it:

And here's the playlist containing all three episodes.

Trek & Gold: Strange New Worlds

Eve and I finally got around to podcasting about the most recent Star Trek show: Strange New Worlds.

We recorded one podcast episode for each of the three seasons. Here's my cover illustration:

The (German) podcasts are on Soundcloud and on most of your common podcatcher apps (plus YouTube).

Trek & Gold #78

Eve Jay & I recorded a new episode of our podcast on the disastrous Star Trek streaming movie "Section 31", and I drew a new cover illustration. Using the color palette from the movie's marketing images was a lot of fun!

In the newest installment of our podcast Dreck & Gold, Eve Jay, Haiko Hörnig & I talk about "Deadpool and Wolverine" and a couple of superhero news items from SDCC 2024.

Here's my cover illustration for this episode:

Podcast cover: DOWNLOW'D

I've been a big fan of Downlow'd: The Rise and Fall of Harry Knowles & Aint-It-Cool News, a very interesting investigative podcast about the complicated history of movie news site Ain’t It Cool News, and was thrilled when I was asked to draw their mid-season cover art last April.

It's based on AICN's "Harry" cartoon character and the ending of King Kong:

Here's my initial sketch:

Radio Nukular Forscht

Popular German geek nostalgia podcast Radio Nukular are starting a new spin-off show called "Radio Nukular Forscht", and I got to illustrate the cover. The poster in the middle is going to be different every time, but the rest will be reused for all episodes.

Here's a look at my first sketch for it:

Trek & Gold: Discovery Season 3

Eve & I have finished podcasting about Star Trek: Discovery season 3. Listen to the complete season of our (German) podcast Trek & Gold HERE.

Here are a few of the new cover illustrations I drew for it:

Trek & Gold Continues

I can't show you the other projects I'm working on right now, but what I can show you are some of the new podcast covers I've been drawing for Eve Jay's & my Star Trek podcast Trek & Gold.

Right now, we're discussing Star Trek Discovery season 3, for which I've drawn these:

Before that, I did some more Lower Decks covers like this one:

And for our Patreon, I drew a couple of Lower Decks-style portraits of our patrons:

Trek & Gold: Lower Decks

Eve Jay and I are once again podcasting about Star Trek - this time it's about the brand new animated comedy show "Star Trek: Lower Decks", which I'm enjoying a lot. In our first new podcast, we talk about the first two episodes: Trek & Gold 59

For this, I also drew a new cover with the two of us as Lower Decks characters:

If you, too, want to become a Lower Decks character, you can get your own LD portrait on our Patreon.

Trek & Gold: Picard

Like we did with Star Trek: Discovery, my podcast "Dreck & Gold" has been doing episode recaps for every episode of the first season of Star Trek: Picard.

For every one of those podcasts, I drew a cover illustration. Here are some of them:

Der Westworld Podcast - Season 3 Cover

I got to do another cover illustration for season 3 of this German "Westworld" podcast:

Because the official poster artwork for the new Westworld season didn't come out until I had already started working on this, I ended up doing two different versions of the background. Here's the first one that didn't end up being used:

Club 19 Season 2 Podcast Cover

Two years ago, I already did a podcast cover illustration for season 1 of the German Stephen King podcast Club 19. Now, they're in the middle of season 2 and I got to do a new one.

Here's the square version:

There's more to it, though! The Club 19 guys made a physical notebook as a reward for their Patreon supporters, for which I drew matching front (left) and back (right) covers. Have a look:

Radio Nukular #100

I got to do the cover for Radio Nukular's 100th podcast episode about time travel:

Trek & Gold season 2

It's already been a few weeks since we finished the second season of our podcast "Trek & Gold", but I just realized that I never posted anything about it on this blog.

Just like during the first season, Eve Jay and I did in-depth podcast recaps for every episode of the second season of Star Trek: Discovery. You can check those out on SoundCloud, Apple Podcasts, or most other places where you can subscribe to podcasts. For every one of those podcast episodes, I also drew a cover illustration. Here are some of my favorites:

Radio Nukular #91

I was asked to do a new Radio Nukular cover for their podcast about the movies of Steven Spielberg:

Here's a look at my rough sketch (I admit I traced some elements like the truck from photos - I'm no good at drawing cars):

Radio Nukular #84

I made another cover illustration for the popular German nostalgia podcast Radio Nukular. This episode is all about the hip-hop music career of one of their members, Max aka. Rockstah.

Rockstah likes to dress up as The Penguin from Batman, which explains the outfit, and the overall layout is inspired by the album cover for Bob Seger's "Beautiful Loser".

Radio Nukular & John Hughes

Look! I made new cover illustration for Radio Nukular's John Hughes episode. Can you spot all the references?

The cover is based on this poster for "Ferris Bueller's Day Off".
