ComicInvasionBerlin Podcast
Two weeks ago, I was a guest on the official podcast of ComicInvasionBerlin, one of my favorite smaller comic festivals in Germany. I talked to Lara and Carlos about JAZAM!, Hipsters, my other comics, and the festival. It was pretty fun! LISTEN HERE. You can also find it on iTunes.
JAZAM! is once again going to have a table at this year's ComicInvasionBerlin on April 16/17, where you'll be able to meet me most of the time.

Animals
I was very busy with work in 2013, so I wasn't able to draw a comic for JAZAM! vol. 8 (topic: "Animals"). Instead, I contributed this illustration.
I don't think I'd ever shown this one online, but now I've posted it on Tapastic with my JAZAM! stories.

The Tenth Time
This comic is my most recent JAZAM! story. It first appeared in JAZAM! vol. X (topic "X/10") in 2015, and now I've translated it into English and put it online for the first time!

Over the next couple of months, I'm going to publish more of my JAZAM! comics on Tapastic and here. Stay tuned!

Monster Doodle
"Monster Doodle" is a new book of funny "finish the drawing" illustrations, which is coming out this week from Delfinium Prints and Comic Solidarity. My pal David Füleki edited the book and painted the cover, and I contributed two pages. Here's one of them:
You'll be able to buy the book at the Leipzig book fair / Manga-Comic-Con this week. (Unfortunately, I won't be there.)
I'm sure it'll be available on Kwimbi soon, though, and we'll definitely have a few of them at ComicInvasionBerlin next month.

Self Portrait (Rework)
I reworked last November's self portrait a bit to reflect my current hair and try a slightly different style with outlines:

Affection Play - Isolated [EP]
Because our drummer and I moved away from Munich, my indie rock band Affection Play had to break up in 2015, but not before recording one final farewell EP. This is it:
There are five brand new tracks on it, and I think they're some of our best, most professionally produced stuff, if I do say so myself.
Listen to it on Soundcloud
Download it on Bandcamp (pay what you want)
As usually, I sang and wrote most of the vocals & lyrics, played some keyboard, and designed the cover artwork.
If you like it, please consider sharing it on some of your social media channels!

Super Realtor
Don't we all sometimes wonder what the presence of superheroes would do to a city's real estate market? No? Just me?
I drew this comic in 2014 for JAZAM! Vol. 9 (topic: "Heroes"). I've translated it into English this week and am now publishing it on the web for the first time!

INKtober 2015
Over the past month, I participated in the Inktober challenge for the first time, which means I made and uploaded one ink drawing for every day of the month. If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you've probably already seen most of these, but I made this new collage of all 31 drawings for the blog:
If you want to see these in a little more detail, you should have a look at my Instagram or these 6 Tumblr posts:

It's Self Portrait Day again, so I painted this:

24HCD no. 6
This past weekend, I was at my 6th(!) 24h Comic Day event in Leipzig. Now that I'd completed the challenge a couple of times, I thought I'd try a little something different, and pre-wrote a longer script, of which I only drew the first part (of 2). At 19 pages, it's not really a proper #24HCD comic, but it's the exact part of the story I prepared and wanted to get done. Here's a photo of the pages as they looked at the end of the 24h time period:
Here's a photo of the whole 24h comic-drawing troupe during a pizza break (shot by my gf Katja Klengel):
And here's a before/after group shot (left: Saturday at noon, right: Sunday at noon):
There's a very entertaining longer report about the event by first-timer David Füleki on his blog (in German): READ IT
I will likely edit and color my own 24h comic soon, although I might wait with its publication until I draw the second part at our next 24h Comic Day in spring. In the meantime, you can read all my other 24h comics HERE.
