ComicInvasionBerlin Podcast

Two weeks ago, I was a guest on the official podcast of ComicInvasionBerlin, one of my favorite smaller comic festivals in Germany. I talked to Lara and Carlos about JAZAM!, Hipsters, my other comics, and the festival. It was pretty fun! LISTEN HERE. You can also find it on iTunes.

Animals

I was very busy with work in 2013, so I wasn't able to draw a comic for JAZAM! vol. 8 (topic: "Animals"). Instead, I contributed this illustration.

I don't think I'd ever shown this one online, but now I've posted it on Tapastic with my JAZAM! stories.

The Tenth Time

Monster Doodle

"Monster Doodle" is a new book of funny "finish the drawing" illustrations, which is coming out this week from Delfinium Prints and Comic Solidarity. My pal David Füleki edited the book and painted the cover, and I contributed two pages. Here's one of them:

You'll be able to buy the book at the Leipzig book fair / Manga-Comic-Con this week. (Unfortunately, I won't be there.)

I'm sure it'll be available on Kwimbi soon, though, and we'll definitely have a few of them at ComicInvasionBerlin next month.

Alcohol Kills Slowly, Taxis Kill Fast!

This comic, a collaboration with my good buddy and JAZAM! co-editor David Koslowski, first appeared in JAZAM! vol. 6 (topic: "Traffic Jam") in 2011, and now I've translated it into English and put it online for the first time ever!

Affection Play - Isolated [EP]

Because our drummer and I moved away from Munich, my indie rock band Affection Play had to break up in 2015, but not before recording one final farewell EP. This is it:

There are five brand new tracks on it, and I think they're some of our best, most professionally produced stuff, if I do say so myself.

Don't we all sometimes wonder what the presence of superheroes would do to a city's real estate market? No? Just me?

I drew this comic in 2014 for JAZAM! Vol. 9 (topic: "Heroes"). I've translated it into English this week and am now publishing it on the web for the first time!

Self Portrait Day 2015

It's Self Portrait Day again, so I painted this:

24HCD no. 6

This past weekend, I was at my 6th(!) 24h Comic Day event in Leipzig. Now that I'd completed the challenge a couple of times, I thought I'd try a little something different, and pre-wrote a longer script, of which I only drew the first part (of 2). At 19 pages, it's not really a proper ‪‎#24HCD‬ comic, but it's the exact part of the story I prepared and wanted to get done. Here's a photo of the pages as they looked at the end of the 24h time period:
