Cover for Radio Nukular #57

I illustrated another podcast cover last week! This one is for episode 57 of Radio Nukular, one of the most popular German podcasts.

Der Westworld Podcast

I illustrated another podcast cover! This one is for Der Westworld Podcast, a German podcast about the cool HBO sci-fi series Westworld. I made a cover artwork & logo:

And this profile illustration of the three hosts:

It's a Match!

I've finally uploaded a new comic to Tapas (formerly Tapastic)! I've added it to my collection of "JAZAM! stories," even though it isn't technically a JAZAM! comic - this one is a short comic that I drew in 2016 for #8 of Whoa! Comics, a different German indie comics anthology.

You can still buy the book (which contains the German version of this comic) HERE.

JAZAM! vol. 12

This is the first page of my new 6-page comic Das Schachspiel (”The Chess Game”), which I co-wrote with my girlfriend Katja Klengel for the new volume of German indie comics anthology JAZAM!

Pre-order the book now at our shop!

And have a look at the stunning cover illustration by Ingo Römling:

Choking Hazard

Check out these fun superhero toys I drew for the new YouTube show Choking Hazard!

Illustrations for The Frequent Traveller

Over the past couple of months, I did a number of editorial illustrations for the new magazine "The Frequent Traveller". Their first print issue isn't out yet, but you can already see some of my work on their website:

Business-Knigge: Bayern
Flugmythen im Check
Was hilft gegen Flugangst?
Smart Luggage

This was kind of a new style for me - all business-like and vector-y. Here are some of the illustrations:

Club 19

My most recent job was to draw a cover illustation and logo for the new podcast "Club 19," in which Dominik Hammes (Radio Nukular) and Simon Krätschmer (Rocket Beans TV) talk about all things Stephen King.

I had a lot of fun hiding all those little Stephen King-related details all over this pic!

And here's just the logo:

INKtober 2016

Once again, I joined the INKtober challenge, which meant I had to do one ink drawing a day through all of October. I finished two days late, but I did complete all 31 drawings, and I had a lot of fun doing it. Unlike last year, I had a theme, which was "Horror Movie Villains." See all of them here:

Have a look at each individual drawing on my tumblr: 01-04 05-08 09-12 13-17 18-22 23-27 28-31

Kunstgeld

For a party at Keller Club in Berlin-Neukölln, I illustrated these FAK€ banknotes:

The party is TONIGHT! I'm not quite sure how it's gonna work, but I believe we'll do some fun money-related things with the screen printed notes, and you'll be able to get signatures and drawings from me and the other artists, David Koslowski and Gregor Stiebert.

Also, it's my birthday, so I'm gonna do some celebratin' there. WOO-HOO!

Palms in Sorrow

This Sunday, I'm doing another Reading Panels comic reading in Dresden. This time, we're reading one of my favorite German comics, "Das UPgrade" by Sascha Wüstefeld and Ulf S. Graupner. In the comic, there's a fictional song called "Palms in Sorrow", which I recorded for the reading. Here it is:

The reading is on Sunday, October 9 at 7pm at Thalia Kino Dresden. Here's the Facebook event!

If you like this song, check out MY OTHER MUSIC!

Artjom Wessjoly

A little while ago, I got the very cool job to draw a realistic portrait of Russian poet Artjom Wessjoly for an upcoming new edition of his work at Aufbau Verlag. Here it is:

Backyard Shootout (2017, Fuck Yeah!)

Once again, I was asked to be part of Schloggers annual "Fuck Yeah!" calendar, which collects cool illustrations from many of Germany's finest cartoonists and illustrators (and me).

I tried a out a new technique with this sunny illustration for the first week of August:

Here's my sketch for it:

The calendar contains wonderful illustrations for every week of the year and this cool cover by Beetlebum:

Do you want one? Just shoot me an e-mail! (price: 20€ - free shipping inside Germany)

You can also pre-order a copy at Kwimbi (where you can also see some of the other illustrations).

Last-Minute Hero comic jam

Recently, I was flattered to be asked to participate in diedruckerei.de's new comic jam. It's a comic by 12 artists, which will be published on their blog and later printed as a calendar. The proceeds will be donated to charity.

Check out everything about the project here.

Here's my page (page 3 of 12):

You can find the 1st two pages by Schlogger and Johannes Lott at diedruckerei.de's blog. New pages will be added twice a week.

You can order the calendar with the complete comic jam RIGHT HERE.

It's a Match! (preview)

I recently drew a one-page comic for "Whoa! Comics," the newly-relaunched comic book anthology by German indie publisher Plem Plem Productions. It's basically a collection of 6 single-panel cartoons about monsters going on dates.

Here are the first 2 Panels:

CLICK HERE for some previews of the other comics and have a look at the cover of the issue by Mario Bühling right here:

It's coming out very soom and you can pre-order it now at the Plem Plem shop!

Dreck & Gold - episode 01

I have a podcast! A few days ago, David Koslowski and I recorded the premiere episode of "Dreck & Gold". On the podcast, we talk about movies, tv shows, comics, and other nerd stuff. It's all in German.

You can listen to it on Soundcloud and on iTunes. Please subscribe, rate & review!

Here's the cover image I drew for it:

We're probably gonna do one of these every week now.
