The second Hipsters webcomic arrives on schedule. The HIPSTERS website is almost finished, too, but I still need a little time to get a better hang of Comicpress.

I'm starting a new webcomic. If I can keep it going for a while, I'll probably build an extra site for it, but for now, I'm gonna post them here on the blog. The strip features the "hipster" characters I've previously used in Hipsters vs. Monsters and Hipsters vs. Zombies. This is the first one:


There's a German version, too.

Wiesn-G'schichtn

I've already shown the pencil and ink versions of this panel from a new comic of mine. Now here is the colored version:


It's from a four-page comic for the anthology Wiesn-G'schichtn, which just came out. It's a nice large-format hardcover album with short comics by 18 different Munich-based cartoonists that all revolve around the Oktoberfest and its 200th anniversary this year. My story is about the terrorist attack on the Oktoberfest in 1980 and is scripted by Oskar Rauch. The whole project was initiated by Comicaze and published by Volk Verlag. It's now available in stores and at Amazon.de for € 16,90. You can also order a signed copy from me directly via e-mail.


UPDATE: The first review just went online at Splashcomics.de and it's positively glowing!

After finishing up all of my BA stuff, I finally found some time again to do another one of my movie character portraits. This one's Sonny Wortzik from Dog Day Afternoon.

A little commission I did for some friends of mine. It's one of their professors as a superhero.

bachelor thesis & exhibition

I'm all done with my bachelor thesis now. Two days ago I received several copies of this good-looking hardcover book:


It's the first part of a longer graphic novel I've been working on for about a year now with my co-author Roman Senkl. This first part is 23 pages long, but the whole graphic novel is probably going to be at least five times that.

The title is "Die Anstalt" ("The Asylum") and it's a faux-documentary mystery thriller set inside a strange insane asylum.

I actually liked this one a little better. (The book as a whole is very funny though and well worth buying)

Erlangen 2010

Only two more days until this year's Comic-Salon Erlangen, Germany's biggest comics convention, begins. (It goes from june 3 till june 6.) As regular readers of this blog may have noticed, I'm publishing quite a few comics there. You can find my stuff (and, sometimes, me) at the following booths:
