Last month, I inked this kick-ass retro cover for G.I. Joe Origins #15 (IDW). Pencils by Klaus Scherwinski, colors by Levin Kurio. It's my first U.S. publication!

I'm at work on a lot of different projects right now (predominantly JAZAM! vol. 5 and my BA thesis), but can't really show a lot yet. One thing I can share right now is this pencil panel from a short comic I'm currently working on. It's an interesting project but I'm not gonna tell you yet what it is... :)

new music + radio interview

Even though this blog is mostly meant to showcase my cartooning and my art and design work, I like to occasionally post some updates about my musical pursuits. I'm the lead singer of the alternative rock band Affection Play and we've recently uploaded two of our songs to our MySpace site. They aren't exactly our newest songs, but they're the only ones we recorded in studio quality so far.

In addition to that, we had a radio interview on the small Munich-based station Radio Feierwerk a couple of weeks ago, which is also on MySpace.

Comicstars

Two of my comics are now available on Comicstars.de, an interesting portal for digital comics.

The first one is "Rumpel Styler" from 2006, my contribution to the very first volume of JAZAM!, which has been out of print for a while. This one's for free.

These are two of the nine comic pages of the quasi-sequel to "Hipsters vs. Monsters". The new story ist going to be published in JAZAM! vol. 5 (theme: "Night Life") in june. I'm almost finished with the comic, working on the final page right now.

I'm working on a sequel to my mini comic "Hipsters vs. Monsters", which will be published as a 9-page comic in JAZAM! vol. 5, due out in june 2010. The above is a little teaser image.
