Finally, once again a piece of non-hipster-related artwork! This is a new entry in my series of movie character portraits, which I've been doing sporadically for the last two years or so.
Sorry for being one day late with this one. I had to pay a visit to the German hipster capital (also the regular capital) Berlin over the weekend, which was fun, but didn’t leave me a lot of time to finish today’s comic.
This internet meme was created by Jenny Dolfen a couple of days ago and has been going around DeviantArt and the Comicforum since then. Some nice examples can be seen here.
I used the character "Leo" from my webcomic HIPSTERS and probably spent more time on it than I should have. It was a lot of fun, though!
Wittek recently started collecting photos of German cartoonists' workplaces. He already linked to quite a few. I thought it would be fun to contribute a photo of my humble desk. This is where I draw my Hipsters comics and a bunch of other stuff:
JAZAM! is an independent German comics anthology, which I'm an editor of. Once a year, we publish a new volume. Vol. 6 is set to come out in June 2011, and we've just decided about the topic: all stories have to take place either in a taxi, on a train, or on an airplane. Interested in participating? Check out our terms at the Comicforum or at our blog! (only in German, sorry)
